Carn Dearg Mor A 857m high Corbett above Glen Feshie offers some spectacular views across Badenoch. Walk starts from car park at Achlean.

Highland Council Ranger - Saranne Bish

Meall a Bhuachaille for slow coaches. (The Hill above Glenmore) Climb high slowly! With great views of the surrounding mountains, glens and lochs. We’ll come down slowly too!

Transport from Cairngorm Hotel at 10am. Transport to and from Glenmore Forestry Visitor Centre. Coach or Car Share

Explore Abernethy Ranger

Boat of Garten to Broomhill “Steam and Stroll”.  Arriving on the historic Strathspey Steam Train, we’ll take in fantastic Pine Forest scenery near Loch Garten and visit the old forestry village of Nethy Bridge.  Visit to free Explore Abernethy centre included.  Then follow the River Nethy to the Spey and take the train back to Aviemore

10.30am Steam train from Aviemore to Boat of Garten 11.15. Meet at Cairngorm Hotel, Aviemore at 10.15am.

Return train from Broomhill at 3.40 pm

10km/6m 2 hours plus time on train journeys

Cairngorm Ranger Service

 Coire Cas Mountain Trail A waymarked route in the main ski area which climbs up 400m all on a good track. Joining a ranger on this half day walk will guarantee you a learning journey.

Cairngorm Ranger Base, car park at the top of ski road at 1pm. OS Grid NH990 060. Car share or Service Bus. Check in to Cairngorm Hotel on your way.
